How does HTML5 geolocation work?

Answer
by Geo Targetly

HTML5 geolocation works by tracking a user’s location. When using a web application, the user will be asked if it is okay to obtain their user's location. If the user gives their permission, then the geolocation API will track their location (longitude and latitude) using the best tracking technology available, like GPS. Once the coordinates are found, the longitude and latitude will be reverse geocoded to reveal the address.
