Will geo redirection redirect Google crawlers and affect SERPs?

MW

Hi there, I've had a quick skim of the docs and i cant seem to see the answer to the following.

We are running MultiSite, My USA office have requested I redirect all US traffic to their site.

This much is easy to do, and makes sense, but I am concerned whether this will redirect google spiders etc?

My European subsite is by far the strongest performing site in the SERPS, and I cant afford to tank all this if the redirect blocks it.

Plus, I have a bucket load more new, relevant content on this site too so blocking crawlers could be a disaster.

Our Geo Redirect product can be used to auto redirect visitors based on their location.

Spiders will be able to crawl the redirects, however Google bot does send their crawlers from different countries and as a result it can understand the concept of geo based redirection.

You can read more about it here https://geotargetly.com/geo-ip-location-redirects-and-seo

If you still feel that SERPs might be affected our redirect service comes with a permission popup option. This means rather than auto redirecting, it can prompt US visitors to go to the relevant site via a popup.
